MUMBAI: With BJP's Kirit Somaiya claiming that the Dapoli resort allegedly linked to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and ex-minister Anil Parab will be demolished, Parab on Tuesday dared Somaiya to speak out against leaders of CM Eknath Shinde's faction who had switched over from the Uddhav-led Sena. He asked why Somaiya was mum and was not speaking out against these leaders against whom he had filed complaints with the ED in the past. Parab said that there was a status quo order from the courts on the issue of demolition of the resort. Parab said he would file a criminal case against Somaiya. Somaiya claimed on Twitter on Tuesday he was travelling to the two resorts, Sea Conch and Sai Resort in Dapoli, which were going to be demolished. "I have said many times that this resort (Sai Resort) is owned by Sadanand Kadam and not by me. I have nothing to do with it. He (Kadam) has proven his ownership with documents. Even the notices have been issued in his name, but Somaiya is defaming me by linking me to the resort. The courts have given status quo orders and given protection from demolition," Parab said. He added, "If (Somaiya) has guts, he should speak out against leaders who joined the Shinde faction. Somaiya doesn't speak a word about these leaders involved in ED cases and against whom he himself filed complaints. Why is Somaiya not going with a hammer to Narayan Rane's bungalow to demolish it? Even (MLA) Subash Deshmukh's home is illegal. I don't want to let poor people suffer because of me." Parab said there were 2,060 structures in Ratnagiri district, including homes, resorts and bungalows, at locations similar to the Sai Resort.
